General job description:
The Project Director will be responsible for the overall management of up to three project teams and their associated projects. The ideal candidate for this position should be an experienced manager with proven experience as both a leader and a project manager.
Report to: Managing Director
Major responsibilities include:
• Attendance of weekly meetings for all projects
• Knowledge of all key issues on projects
• Regular liaison with clients
• Problem solving support for Project Teams
• Minimum weekly review of project sites with Project Teams
• Review of Project Team practices
• General training on various issues to company and colleagues as required
• Overseeing client briefs on projects
• Sign off on Project Contracts and Invoices
• Overseeing all relevant Project Documentation from the Project Teams
• General Project Consulting for clients (including, strategic planning, budget planning, feasibility studies, etc.) using Project Teams as support
• Overseeing all tendering and procurement processes on the project, to ensure transparency and fair outcome, including a sign off recommendation on all recommendations for the Managing Directors approval
• Sign off on all weekly schedule updates from the Project Teams
• Sign off on Budget and Invoice Management practices by Project Teams
• Provide General Construction Management support to Project Teams
• Attendance of internal and external hand over meetings on all projects
• Review and sign off of all hand over documents to clients |
| Skills Required: |
• English communication skills
• Chinese communication skills (an advantage but not essential)
• National and international Project Management skills or qualifications
• Experience of project management in China a must
• General experience on IT, AV, Security, and design matters
• General Business Development to retain existing clients' business and generate new clients for the company |
