Pharma Publishing and Media Europe (PPME) is recruiting a Senior Executive Editor (Biomedical) to join our Editorial and Publications Department in Mol. We are seeking an individual (m/f) with the following profile:
Knowledge and skills:
• Native English speaker
• Medical background: hospital pharmacy trained or qualified medical doctor with experience in pharmacology/clinical drug development
• Proven experience with journal production and in medical writing and editing
• Strong organisational and project managing skills with accuracy
• Ability to work effectively under deadline pressure
• Ability to work in an a multi-national environment
Main responsibilities:
• Commissioning of articles
• Proofreading and editing on style for article written in English by international authors
• Occasional writing of own articles and news items
• Managing the execution of the publishing process, in particular the editorial process in collaboration with the Editor-in-chief
Administrative responsibilities:
• Co-ordination and close follow-up with multiple authors for their contributions
• General operational management such as planning of manuscript flow and overseeing artwork and layout production
