| Job Description: |
Our client, GarrettCom, a leading global automation networking equipment vendor, seeks a European Sales Manager, Power Utility Networks within Continental Europe, to be based in any of the following countries: Germany, France, Benelux, Switzerland or Austria. This is a new position which requires travel.
- Candidate will sell networking hardware, software and services to power utility and related industry accounts in the Continental Europe
- Sales channel development (VARs, Integrators)
- Technical consultation on LAN and WAN networks and serial communications systems applications for customers and channel partners
- On-line product demonstrations and on-site visits
- Negotiation of new Power Utility reseller / distributor contracts and discounts
- Coordination among Power Utility resellers and the other salespeople addressing other industrial markets in the same area as well as with Sales Engineers and technical support staff
- Maintaining the CRM software

Skills Required:: |
- Candidate must possess 3+ years experience working in the European Power Utility Industry (Transmission and Distribution; Generation) involved in technical infrastructure, Protection Engineering, SCADA, and, if possible, particularly in substations networks and communications.
- Candidate can alternatively possess 3+ years selling into European Power Utilities (Transmission and Distribution; Generation) involving solutions for technical infrastructure, Protection Engineering, SCADA, and, if possible, particularly for substations networks and communications.
- Additional work experience in industrial control technologies and in the communications industry generally is a plus, especially Ethernet and Serial communications vis-a-vis Automation within Power Utilties.
- Candidates must speak at least 2 languages fluently (English and a European language).
Product-specific and application-specific training will be given upon hire. Training will include industrial networking products features and benefits, managed networks design and applications information, competitive alternatives, account profiles and histories, and effective sales techniques. |
