| Job Description: |
The Senior Database Developer will be charged with creating efficient databases and queries. The Developer will work closely with project developers to integrate effective database designs into each IT project. This highly experienced database developer will provide tuning improvements to database designs, queries, and stored procedures. The individual will assist in selecting tools to assist in the development of database applications. The goal of this position is to provide our development staff with an expert resource for database development and design.
At present we are placing only in USA and should have a valid H1, Green Card or a USA Citizen. |
Skills Required:: |
Job Requirements
· Bachelors degree or equivalent experience and/or education;
· Successful completion of an analytical aptitude exam;
· Must have at least five+ years experience in a Sr. Database Administration role;
· Acts as a consultant in the areas of conceptual and physical database design, development, implementation and maintenance;
· Exceptional knowledge of Sybase and or Oracle on client-server and Unix platforms;
· Working knowledge of Java or C++ is a plus.
· Knowledge of interfacing database stored procedures and queries with Unix and desktop apps;
· Knowledge of building stored procedures;
· Thorough knowledge of database design and tuning;
· Providing technical support to applications staff during new systems development;
· Assisting in coordinating and establishing inter-system relationships;
· Training applications staff in database concepts, coding, and usage; and
· Analyzing and developing code from programming requirements as they relate to database access and updates.
Preferred Qualifications
· Sybase and/or Oracle;
· Technical certification; and
· Life or annuity professional coursework.
