Our client is the world leader in industrial minerals operating international mines and pits and different minerals or mineral groups. They have an opportunity for a Geologist in China with 2 to 5 years experience in a similar position.
For this newly created position, your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
- Contribute to investment decisions of Ceramics activities in China based on strong, robust prospecting, procedures, geological data and reserves evaluation
- Help to calculate reserves/deposits potential and to produce models accordingly, in line with our client’ standards
- Help to form a regular set of decisions on the prospection work towards acquisition
- Work with business and operation managers

Skills Required:: |
This role requires:
- Bachelor in geology or equivalent (with base of petrography and mineralogy)
- 3 years field experience max., like prospectors
- Working language in Mandarin and English and ideally another language
- Experience in deposit modelling reserve calculation (basic knowledge of mining software)
- Willing to travel about 50 % of the time
- Adaptability, networking and team work orientation |
