Short-term Experts in the Oil Industry: Logistics, Business Support Services, Drilling, Operations Support
We are currently seeking oil industry experts for potential short-term work on upcoming Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) projects that will develop local companies to provide goods, services and materials to O&G related international companies operating in developing economies. These projects will be operated with a clear focus on the success of local firms in the tendering process and successful delivery on contracts with O&G related local and international companies. Duration of short-term work will likely be two weeks with potential to begin as early as November, 2007.
Responsibilities:
• provide short-term technical and/or mentoring assistance to facilitate increased quality and reliability of local suppliers of materials, goods and services involved in long-term programs
• provide direct technical assistance to local SMEs to improve their operations

Skills Required:: |
Qualifications:
• degree or equivalent qualification relevant to one of the following aspects of the oil industry required: logistics, business support services, drilling and/or operations support
• minimum of 5 years practical experience in one or more of these fields
• strong understanding of quality standards of major international O&G companies, operating and health/safety standards required
• relevant experience in CIS countries preferred
• knowledge of SME operations in developing countries preferred
• working knowledge of Russian or other CIS relevant language preferred
