| Job Description: |
Live, work and play in one of the most scenic areas in California, El Dorado County. The County extends from Folsom Lake and Sacramento County through the foothills, and pine covered Sierra Nevada Range to spectacular Lake Tahoe.
Approximate Annual Salary: $76,856 - $93,434
Plus CalPERS 2%@55, Medical, Dental and Vision
*A signing bonus of $6,000 will be paid over 26 bi-weekly pay
Periods.
*Reimbursement of ACTUAL moving expenses, up to $5,000, will Be available to candidates who live more than 100 miles from the Assigned work location
This recruitment is being conducted for current vacancies and
Maybe used for future full time and part time vacancies in the west Slope areas of the County. Currently there are five (5) full-
Time vacancies in the Department of Transportation in Placerville and El Dorado Hills.
The Position: The essential functions for the current vacancies
Include:
Resident engineer for major CIPs
Construction engineering, drafting and computer aided design
Performing pre-project and construction site inspections
Supervise and coordinate work of construction inspectors and
Filed survey crews
Project Management
Meetings with consultants/public/utility companies/regulatory and
Funding agencies

Other Requirements:
Must possess a valid driver's license. Must possess a valid California Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer or obtain licensure in California by comity (reciprocity) within the one-year probationary period. Specific positions within this classification may require one of the following:
• Valid California Registration as a Traffic Engineer;
• Valid California Registration as a Structural Engineer,
• Valid I.C.C Certification as a Plans Examiner.
Education and Experience:
Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university with major course work in civil engineering and two years of lead or project management experience in public works design and construction engineering work at a level equivalent to the County's Associate Civil Engineer.
