| Job Description: |

Approximate Annual Salary: $78,707 - $95,680
Plus CalPers 2%@55, Medical, Dental and Vision
(eligible from the first day of employment)
*A signing bonus of $6,000 will be paid over 26 bi-weekly pay

*Reimbursement of ACTUAL moving expenses, up to $5,000, will Be available to candidates who live more than 100 miles from the Assigned work location.
This recruitment is being conducted to fill two (2) full-time vacancies for the Transportation Department in Placerville.
The Position: Typical duties for the current vacancy include:
Transportation/Traffic Engineering, including: reviewing of transportation/traffic analysis for environmental documents; reviewing of traffic studies and traffic counts; writing traffic studies and analysis.
Traffic engineering support, including: reviewing design assumptions for capital projects; providing traffic index for pavement design; traffic signal design.
Transportation Modeling, including: using transportation demand model; interpreting results; modifying and running model.
Capital Improvement Program Preparation, including: providing documentation and analysis for program; determining cost estimates for projects; integrating of program with model, LTC, MPO, etc.
Technical Advisory Committee, including: reviewing and commenting on documents from various agencies; attending committee meetings; providing technical support.
Transportation Planning, including: coordinating with LTC, MPO, Caltrans, etc.: completing grant applications; processing appropriate paperwork for funds, (Federal and State reports and forms); Good working knowledge of CEQA

Other Requirements:
Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must possess a valid California Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer and a valid California Registration as a Traffic Engineer or obtain licensure in California by comity (reciprocity) within the one-year probationary period.
Education and Experience:
Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university with major course work in civil engineering, including or supplemented by special study in traffic engineering and three years of lead or project management experience in public works design and construction engineering at a level equivalent to the County’s class of Associate Civil Engineer, one year of which must have been in the area of traffic engineering.
