Business Development Manager
(1 in Penang, 1 in Johor)
Purpose of Role
Achieve sales plan objectives with assigned SME clients and targets by effectively selling companys solutions and products.
Responsibilities
Establish, maintain and develop positive business relationships with potential customers in the assigned accounts (A/B) territory and a handful of C category, to enhance the business growth and profitability.
Generate business with assigned SME clients and targets in line with the sales plan
Ensure timely and complete responses to customers, including internal network
Ensure successful client integration to Operations, Customer Service
Provide information to Territory Sales Manager (TSM) for sales planning and forecast activities (including prospect qualification and local market intelligence)
Provide client and target information, maintain CRM & ensure data quality & timeliness in line with global/regional standards
Execute sales process |
| Skills Required: |
Educational Background
Diploma in any discipline
Business administration / commercial background
Sales experience within our industry (minimum 3 years)
Language skills : English and local language
Functional/Industry Requirements
Functional experience in air / sea / customs brokerage as well as logistics
Sales experience
Local market knowledge (customers, competitors, suppliers)
Expertise and professionalism in customer contacts, understanding of customer requirements, analysis and resolution of problems and complaints
Management Skills
Able to successfully execute the sales process
Able to manage cross-functional interfaces (Operations and ISPs)
Self-management (Planning, Organizing & Goal Setting, Execution)
Decision-making capabilities
