Our client is a world leading global logistics company. They are currently seeking an experienced professional to join them as
Business Development Manager (Oil and Gas)
Purpose of Role:
Generate new business with assigned Oil & Gas clients and targets in line with the sales plan.
Secure existing business by assuring reliability and increasing customer satisfaction
Responsible for the preparation and timely submission of customers request for quotation and / or request for information.
Work together with O & G operations managers to implement concepts / solutions including SOPs as proposed and approved by customers; Follow through till project stabilizes before handing over to operations
Conduct sales calls, make & give presentations, provide product support and performs other marketing and marketing functions as needed by existing or potential customers
Build up / improve customer relationship on an area and local basis with the use of available resources in the different countries in South East Asia
Build up a strong business relationship with customers and create awareness of companys product within the customers organization and vice versa
Build up industry knowledge and create awareness of the allocated customer and the customers industry within the group
Perform any other duties as assigned |
Skills Required:: |
Requirements:
Degree in transport / freight forwarding / logistics management
Min. 4 years of professional experience in international transport / freight forwarding / logistics field / supply chain management
Preferably good knowledge of O & G industry / customer base
Operation in air- and ocean freight, if available project freight, out of gauge cargoes
good logistics operational know-how incl. O&G equipment, heavy-lift and out of gauge cargos
Project management skills
Strong organizational skills (prioritize/plan/assign/control)
Analytical and processes skills (creativity/flexibility/strategic thinking)
Strong communication & inter-personal skills (presentation/listening/persuasion)
Advanced computer literacy: good PC skills, and capability to use internal tools
Ability to work in a diverse environment and culture
Strong customer relationship building and alignment skills
Outgoing, self-motivated, organized, focused, goal driven and able to manage him-/herself
You should be a good motivator and a good team player who possess excellent communication skills, analytical and organizational skills. Travelling will be required of this role and you will be required to contribute individually and perform under pressure. |
