A vacancy currently exists in their city centre based offices for a Fund Accountant.
Role
Evaluates and reconciles funds including mutual, benchmark, commingled, and collective for production of client month-end reports or for daily valuation. Verifies diversified transactions, audits income reports within scheduled timeframes, and resolves exceptions on a daily basis for fund accounts.
Key responsibilities will include

Verifies daily transactions, audits income reports, and resolves exception on assigned
accounts according to procedures and within scheduled timeframes.
Assists in the timely preparation of reports and financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and performance standards.
Dealing with partner and client inquiries resolving exceptions related to accounts.
Values funds on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis and performs valuations of client positions, and balances and reconciles accounts.
Ensures that pool funds are accessible on a daily and monthly basis for investment by keeping track of sales transactions and trade tickets.

| Skills Required: |
Ideal candidate should have:
1-2 years experience in an accounts or fund valuation
Knowledge of accounting and securities processing procedures is required to review and audit reports.
Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
Fluent English is essential |
