Senior Compliance Executive

Role:
Monitoring of existing applicable legislation (e.g. Money Laundering, Data Protection, Consumer Credit Act), group policy and various related activities.
Responsibilities include:
• The role holder will have the ability and knowledge to identify any compliance issues flowing from existing legislation and codes/guidelines both internal and external together with any proposed legislative amendments or amendments to the Guidelines with regard to the following topics: Money Laundering, Data Protection, Consumer Credit, implementation of the Consumer Protection Code, and any applicable new legislation as implemented
• Conduct regular compliance reviews supplemented thereafter with any assistance required by the business to ensure ongoing compliance
• Reporting on monitoring activities
• Design, develop, deliver and update regulatory material for the intranet and in-house training programmes
• Representation of bank interests through participation in industry consultation groups, e.g. IBF meetings regarding the topics of specialisation as and if required with the regulator regarding any changes/up-dates to applicable codes and guidelines
• Any additional related tasks and responsibilities as determined by the Monitoring & Reporting Manager from time to time
Experience & Requirements:
• Relevant experience in the financial services industry
• Compliance / regulatory risk experience including Money Laundering, Data Protection and Consumer Credit Act
• Experience of audit or monitoring an advantage
• The role holder is likely to hold a business related degree and/or professional qualification
• Proficiency in report writing
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisation and time management skill
