| Job Description: |
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the quality of all drinks he prepares in accordance with standards laid down.
2. Work closely with Bar Captains.
3. Work under direct supervision of Head Barman or Bar Captain.
4. Thoroughly familiar with the contents of the Beverage Manual.
5. Punctual, well groomed and always in proper uniform.
6. Report any unusual incident or guest complaints to Bar Captain.
7. Reports all equipment failures or malfunction to the Head Barman or Captain.
8. Plan the days work to prepare the next shift.
9. The opening bartender checks the liquor delivery against the bar’s perpetual inventory record.
10. The bartender never leaves his work station unless there is proper coverage in his area.
11. The closing bartender is responsible for making out the requisitions of all beverages needed for the next day full operation.
12. To use the standard jigger for measuring liquor.
13. Must know and use the “Bar Pouring Brands” as specified by Management.
14. In house speciality drinks or cocktails, must know recipes, detail preparation and presentation.
15. Know operation and routine maintenance and requirements of draught beer dispenser.
16. At time of closing, make sure that all stock is put away and all doors and cabinet are securely locked.
17. The closing bartender will leave a clean, neat and and orderly bar.
18. Must know par system for liquors.
19. Must be pleasant to guests and attentive to their needs at all times.
20. Advises the Head Barman in writing of any shortages of equipment, bar stools, glassware etc.
21. Aware of and adheres to Resort policy, procedures and house rules at all times.
22. Responsible to the Bar Captain in coordinating banquet bar setup.
23. May be assigned to do any other related duties by the Head Barman from time to time.
24. Attend all training, meetings and briefings as required.
