| Job Description: |
CopyEditor serves as content editor to ensure all materials and information produced both web-based and non-web-based have a consistent style, message, and voice and reflect the priorities and values of the organization. He or she creates, writes, oversees, and, in some cases, implements delivery of ongoing communications products, including reports and communications, promotional materials and manuscripts. PowerPoint presentations, press releases, information kits and other special assignments. Creates, writes, edits and manages production of other key products, and materials, event programs invitations, speeches, correspondence, and website marketing assignments. Creates, writes and/or coordinates leadership speeches and provides oversight of outside speechwriters contracted for special events. Assists as needed with the creation and submission of grant/funding proposals. Assists with other projects and tasks as requested.
Supervision: Reports to the VP of Marketing and Communications
Interns Qualifications: 3 to 5 years of Copyediting experience.
Non-Interns Qualifications: B.A. Communications and/or Marketing required; minimum of 5-7 years writing experience; exceptional editing skills; strong understanding of web-based communications and delivery; excellent organizational skills demonstrated by the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
