Position: Sr. Contracts Engineer
Reports to:
Department: Resident Manager Location: Doha Qatar
Job Summary
The Sr. Contracts Engineer provides contract advice and support to the Project Management Team.
Responsible for overview of the Quantity Surveying Team.
Duties & Responsibilities
Work with the Project Management Team in our clients site at the DCC site in Doha.
Manage and co-ordinate the implementation of all Contract Issues, ensuring that the performance of approved Consultants is in accordance with their respective Scope of Services and Conditions of Contract / Engagement.
Co-ordinate and liaise as may be required with all relevant Local Authority Departments and staff from other departments, associated with the completion of the project.
Review Contracts across the whole office, in terms of their legal and financial implications.
Manage and report to the Snr. Project Manager on all aspects of projects, including but not necessarily limited to:
• Project progress against programme.
• Project costs against determined contract values.
• Sub-consultants performance against Agreements
• Project risk analysis throughout the duration of the design.
• Contracts Review
Manage and co-ordinate all aspects of submittals, reviews and approvals against Contract Requirements and, when applicable, report and advise on deviations from the same.
Manage staff resourcing, project budgets and timelines.
Assist the our clients Management in the execution, pursuit, assessment and review of future opportunities for project work and Consultancy services in Doha Qatar
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Construction or equivalent; Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying would be an advantage
Membership in professional QS society such as the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors(RICS) or SCS is preferable, but is not mandatory.
Specific skills required
Excellent working knowledge of industry practises/safety/quality management systems
Thorough knowledge of current technology; must be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on project.
High level of critical thinking skills
High level of numerical skills
High level of literacy skills in English

High level of computer literacy
