Tierzero.com is seeking a entry to mid-level Network Associate.
Job Description:
Network Associate
The Network Associate will be responsible for monitoring, break-fix and other operational duties as assigned. Duties will be diversified in Network and System administration. The Network Associate will be responsible for 1st and 2nd level technical trouble resolution, proactive monitoring, and internal/external communication including interacting with vendors to ensure timely resolution of trouble reports. This position requires a rotating schedule including weekends and operates 24/7.
Primary Responsibilities
* Handle incoming call traffic to resolve customer problems
* Adept user of Linux, UNIX and Windows operating systems
* Basic SysAdmin functions such as Mail, Web and DNS
* Network circuit repair on Cisco for T1/T3 and collocation customers.
* TCP/IP, Networking and LAN/WAN topologies
* Familiar with Firewalls, VPN, and Network security
* Adept w/ trouble ticketing SW packages (Heat, Remedy, etc.)
* Application, system and network troubleshooting in a mixed UNIX, Linux and Windows networked environment
* Must be willing to back-fill shifts in emergency staffing situations.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in customer support, system administration
* Cisco CCNA certification or demonstrated proficiency
* Strong inter-personal and communication skills with ability to interpret complex topics
* Independent problem solver and self starter
* Strong documentation abilities necessary to ensure timely problem resolution

In addition the other company benefits, the Technical Assistance Center (TAC) employees receive paid time off (5 days for Cisco Boot Camp and 1 day for testing)
50% reimbursement (up to $2000) for Cisco Boot Camp training
