Position Title: Database Admin Analysts (db2 Dba)
Location: West Chester, Pa
Reports To: Database Manager
Description: The Database Admin Analysts will assist in, design, implement, maintain, and monitor physical databases. This position will require a tremendous amount of performance tuning and analysis.
Responsibilities:
· Participate in and carry out complex data analysis and database management activities
· Interact with internal customers and vendors along with providing primary on-call support to maintain high availability
· Responsible for assuring database security, availability, performance and integrity
Qualifications:
1. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or related field of study
2. Extensive experience in It & Rdbms
3. Extensive experience in SQL/DML development, data modeling, backup and recovery, performance and tuning
4. In-depth knowledge of IBM utilities in particular the on-line reorg utility
5. Ability to diagnose and tune performance issues as they relate to DB2
6. Ability to back up and recover both Application tablespaces and catalog tablespaces
7. Ability to install and maintain 3rd party products (DB2 utilities)
8. Ability to work with Database re-org automation tools
