Job Description: Our client is searching for a Documentation Specialist to report to the Delivery Team Lead. To provide a document writing service that supports effective knowledge sharing and facilitates robust operational processes and procedures.

Major Duties And Responsibilities

• Validate processes against current work practices and ensure documentation is fully up to date and complete to facilitate efficient operation.
• Write computer software and hardware installation and configuration procedures to ensure consistency of approach.
• Develop, maintain and optimize detailed work instructions to ensure clarity and consistency of approach.
• Interview team members to elicit key information about processes and procedures to ensure documentation is kept up to date.
• Write or draft technical reports to support the smooth running of the department.
• Review and edit technical writing by other team members to ensure clarity and consistency.
• Perform research activities by utilizing computer software to obtain and manipulate data.
• Review and coordinate the preparation of reports, papers, and presentations to facilitate management meetings and decision making

Qualifications And Experience

Essential
• ITIL foundation certified
• Two years documentation/ technical authorship experience
• Ability to review and/or edit documents for accuracy and completeness
• Use relevant software packages (i.E. Desktop publishing software, design packages)

Desirable
• A background in change/release management highly preferable
• Configuration Management experience

• Understanding of technical components and technical interdependencies

Salary is £30k - £35k plus package
