| Job Description: |
Position Purpose:
Provide application architecture, design and programming support, for Cyberlife and it’s Interfaces, with a customer service focus. This role will be a key agent in providing ongoing day to day support to our Business Partners, as determined by their prioritized needs.
Essential Duties:
Ø Provide 1st line support to Customer Service of the Cyberlife Production environment, including problem analysis and the coding, testing and implementation of solutions.
Ø Participate in the design, documentation, development and testing of New Products on the Cyberlife platform.
Ø Support Model Office activities, including the setup and initialization of new environments and the resolution of data, process and application issues as they arise.
Ø Promote and build effective working relationships with business and IM&T partners, support staff and vendors.
Major Qualifications:
Ø 7+ years of professional Information Technology experience.
Ø Bachelors or higher-level degree in Information Technology or related discipline.
Ø Strong and proven analysis, judgment, decision making, organizational, and planning skills working in an autonomous and proactive manner.
Ø Strong communicator and relationship builder with all levels of the organization, and ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical business colleagues.
Ø Passion and demonstrated ability for continuous process improvement.
Ø Proven expert knowledge and 7+ years of current hands on application development experience, supporting Mainframe Life Insurance applications. Experience working with CSC’s Cyberlife system would be a definite advantage, as would any knowledge of other related CSC Products (Vantage, NBA, VP/MS, CPD, and AWD).
Ø Ability to independently research, identify and resolve complex Life Insurance related processing and data issues.
Ø Required expert-level application development skills: CICS, COBOL, Mainframe (TSO/JCL/Xpediter) processing. A working knowledge of Java/Websphere/ACORD/XML/Unix/Oracle would be a plus.
Ø Solid knowledge of, and experience in, source code and change management processes and concepts.
Ø Strong Business knowledge of Life Insurance processing concepts. Any additional experience of Annuity Business processing would be a plus.
