Skills:
- Project/Program Management
Duties
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
- Well developed ability to plan ahead, work as a team, communicat and lead.
- Goal orientd - strong desire to achieve goald (budget, quality, schedule, safety etc.)
- Ability to effectively organize and direct the work of multiple trade contractors.
- Ability to effectively communicate in ENglish both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team.
- Well developed computer skills including fluency in Excel, Word, Microsoft Project and AutoCAD
- Ability to work collaboratively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, project managers and site superintendents.
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget.
- Prepare and submit construction project budget and estimates.
- Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress against established schedules.
- Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
Education Requirements
- High School or CAT (Center for Advanced Technology) Program
Experience Requirements
- Five (5) years or more experience as project coordinator.
- Must be in good physical condition. Must be able to withstand long periods of walking and standing. Must have a full range of body movements. Must have the ability to occasionally lift uup to 40 lbs. Sepcific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Must have the command of sight, hearing and touch.
Certification/Licensing/Registration:
- Current Certification in First Aid, Safety Training, WHMIS
Wages: $35,000.00 - $36,000.00 / Year
Number of weekly work hours: 45
Benefits:
- Group Insurance after three (3) months of employment
- Registered Retirement Savings Plan that employee may join. Four percent of the gross income will be contributed to the RRSP of choice, within the group RRSP plan. This RRSP belongs to the employee not the company.
