Experienced Operations Manager for Industrial Distributor
The Company:
We are a large nationwide distributor of industrial hose and rubber products. The company has a long solid history and is currently growing. We offer quality products and excellence in service. We have low turnover and high employee satisfaction. Most of our employees stay until they retire or are promoted.
The St. Louis Division is experiencing phenomenal sustainable growth and as a result we need an experienced Ops. Mangager to manage all facets of the Division’s operations.
The Position:
The St. Louis Division is in need of an experienced operations manager who can keep up with the pace of a fast-paced office and warehouse. Our branch is located in Dupo, Illinois, just across the JB Bridge in South County (the opposite direction of rush hour traffic).
This is a busy position with hectic days, occasional evenings and teamwork to cover each other during vacations, large orders and emergencies.
We have a terrific team at our St. Louis Division. All of us are hard workers with a good sense of humor and mutual respect.
Operations Manager is the right-hand of the General Manager and will be responsible for the day-to-day management of inventory, production, shipping/receiving, personnel (except sales staff) and general office administration.
Customer service is our highest priority so everyone, including the Operations Manager is expected to pitch-in whenever and however necessary to service our customers. The person who has the skills, experience and drive to do this job well will find this to be a satisfying position and a great company to work for.

| Skills Required: |
Position Requirements:
• MUST have at least 2 years experience in operations, preferably with an industrial distributor and preferably as an operations manager.
• MUST be proficient in most Microsoft Office programs and computer literate enough to assist the division with an expected corporate software roll-out in early 2008.
• MUST be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• MUST be self-motivated, ethical, respectful and able to work well with our team, other people at all levels within our corporation and our customers.
• MUST be highly organized, a multi-tasker of the highest order and a manager who can get his/her job done with a sense of professionalism, respect for others and a sense of humor.
• PREFERRED: Industrial hose, hydraulics or other mechanical experience
• PREFERRED: Hands-on mechanical experience or a high level of mechanical aptitude.

Our account reps work outside of the office, but they spend their days helping the customers solve problems. We have an extensive hose management program which involves inspecting hoses in all kinds of industrial plants and providing our customers with safety, efficiency and lots of personal attention.
