| Job Description: |
Our client manufactures precast and prestressed concrete products employing people from a diverse range of countries including South Africa, Germany, Britain, China, Malaysia, Tonga, Peru and NZ on various sites New Zealand wide. The company specialises in manufacturing cement, producing aggregates, providing ready-mix concrete, manufacturing pipes, producing steel products, wood panelling as well as a nationwide retail distribution business.
Role Specifications
- This is a key role and the successful applicant will lead all aspects of the site’s production.
- The role includes personnel management, planning the daily/weekly/monthly production, ensuring product quality, guaranteeing on time delivery and monitoring operating costs.
- This role will appeal to both an experienced supervisor or to an ambitious younger person wanting to develop their career into supervision.
- Previous precast / prestressed experience essential as is personnel management skills.
- Would suit a tradesman carpenter/fitter/mechanic as the role requires action combined with a reasonable level of thinking.
- Can be stressful and the person should be relatively ‘thick skinned’ and enjoy juggling priorities and not get stressed by conflicting commitments. |
