| Job Description: |
We require a background mixing audio for live television (minimum 3 years live), as well as a Bachelors degree is audio engineering/sound recording.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
· Responsible for mixing audio for live studio shows
· Responsible for daily pre-production on assigned shows
· Execute audio production during remote shoots
· Act as A2 on ENG shoots and remote productions
· Train new mixers or other operations department staff in audio related responsibilities
· Keep music library organized and up-to-date
· Keep accurate music logs
· Work nights, weekends and/or holidays as needed
· Related tasks and projects as needed
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering
Qualifications:
· Two years experience mixing live studio shows, specific knowledge of the SSL C100 preferred.
· Must have a good ability to troubleshoot technical audio problems and signal flow within a studio setting
· Strong background in electronics
· Experience with non-liner video editing systems like Avid and Final Cut Pro a plus
· Knowledge of audio for HD broadcasts
· Fluid knowledge of Pro-Tools 7.0 and higher
· 5.1 surround sound mixing a plus
· Proven ability to excel in a highly technical environment and learn new technologies quickly
· Excellent organizational skills and must be detail oriented
· Ability to successfully work in a fast paced, loosely structured, growing and changing work environment
· Must have strong communication skills
· Must possess a positive attitude
· Must be a self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision but also able to work effectively within a team environment
· Able to work weekends, nights and holidays as needed
