| Job Description: |
The main responsibilities of the position are:
•Manage the local GSM network and Network Operations staff, to achieve performance goals, customer satisfaction and Digicel standards
•Monitor the performance of the equipment through maintenance applications and other performance indicators
•Analyze network statistics to find and resolve problems proactively
•Be familiar with all nodes of the network for daily monitoring, troubleshooting and maintenance to assist for cover for technical staff
•Develop a departmental budget and forecast as needed and then manage to company goals and objectives
•Vendor management
•Contract management
•Coaching and mentoring local teams
•Instilling knowledge and best practices into newly hired staff
The successful application will possess:
• Degree-level education or comparable level of professional experience
• 2 years CTO experience
• 8 years Telecoms experience
• 3 years diverse cellular experience including:
- GSM, switching, traffic engineering, planning and optimization
• Previous Ericsson experience mandatory
• Experience working with a charging or MSC in a wireless environment
• Knowledge of budget development and management
• Project management skills
• Ability to work with many different entities both local and international
