Technical Support Specialist
Our client is looking for a Help Desk specialists to work in a 24X7 rotating shift environment. The customer is one of the UK’s largest retail supermarkets where we are responsible for maintaining the Point of Sale equipment and Back Office components.
The job will require excellence in telephone support for UK customers and excellent English language and communication skills is essential.
Job description
oProvide 1st and 2nd line remote software support to Retail customers.
oManage multiple calls stacks.
o Resolve calls within agreed customer Service Level Agreements.
o Provide telephone support to field engineers to resolve various IT issues.
o Monitor and Support the customer IT infrastructure.
oManage technical escalations based on pre-existing escalation procedures.

oMS Windows 2000 Server and workstation
oMS Terminal Services and Netmeeting
oStore Line application
oRetail applications
oMS SQL Server 2000,
oSQL basic scripting skills.
oMS Windows scripting skills
oVB scripting skills.
oKnowledge of Computer Associates applications, (Software Deliver and Event Management).
oAbility to work in a 7*24 shift environment
oParticipate in a 7*24 call Rota as required.
oStress resistant.
oTeam player.
oFlexible.
