About The Position:
The Systems Administrator Lead performs the configuration, setup, and maintenance of all hardware, operating systems, networking, and security applications.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems\Computer Information Systems, or closely related field.
Experience:
4+ years work experience in a Systems Administration or Technical Help Desk role.
Minimum Qualifications:
Excellent skill level with Windows and UNIX operating systems. Excellent understanding of internet technology. Good communication and project management skills. Good understanding of basic troubleshooting methods. Excellent network and security skills. Working telephony skills. Experience evaluating, installing and maintaining systems and networks both in an individual and team environment.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: N/a
Other Qualifications:
O MCP, MSCE, or MSCA certification. Informix Systems Administrator Certification.
O 1 year VOIP experience
O 2 years of SCO UNIX or AIX experience
O 1 year of Informix or Oracle administration experience
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
1. Provide installation, support, administration, and maintenance for the OS platform (Unix, Windows NT, etc.), the web server platform (IIS, Netscape Enterprise Server, etc.), the application server platform (Microsoft Application Center, Netscape Directory Server, etc.), the database platform (Informix, Oracle, etc.), the backup platform (ArcServe, Veritas, etc.) and the mail server platform (Lotus, Exchange, etc.)
2. Provide support and issue resolution to OCI staff for all questions or problems involving packaged software applications (MS Office Suite, MS Windows NT Workstation, etc.), OCI developed software applications and PC-based hardware and peripherals including printers
3. Provide installation, support, administration, and maintenance for the server hardware platform, network and peripherals
4. Provide installation, support, administration and maintenance of LAN/WAN infrastructure (routers, switches, cabling etc.)
5. Monitor and respond to alerts involving server room climate control and fire suppression systems
6. Assist OCI in defining setup and standards for desktop and server hardware and applications
7. May be required to carry a cell phone and/or pager (up to 24x7 support).
8. Design and perform daily performance monitoring and reporting of networks and security systems
9. Work closely with Internal Help Desk to install and provide L3 support for production and internal OCI systems and applications
10. Other duties assigned as needed
