Is seeking a
Chief Executive Officer/Principal
Cornwall Alternative School Board is looking for a Principal/Chief Executive Officer. If you are a competent educator with leadership experience who is ready to demonstrate your talent please apply by February 21, 2008.
Cornwall Alternative School Inc. (CAS) is a community based, non-profit charitable corporation. CAS has a vision to assist students in a holistic approach to gain confidence and educational skills to return to a traditional educational setting as life-long learners. The school addresses the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual needs of each individual.
As Principal you will lead teachers, councilors, and an outreach worker dedicated to providing an alternative student-centered education to students at high risk. The focus is on advocacy and problem solving with students from diverse backgrounds attending Grades 7 to 9. CAS has a total school population of 34 students.
As Chief Executive Officer your role is to lead the organization, reporting to a Board of Directors, goal setting together with key stakeholders, fundraising, and providing the support to ensure CAS reaches its goals.
Send your resume stating your qualifications, work experience and leadership talent. Describe your knowledge and experience with First Nations and Métis people. CAS is interested in a candidate with strong strategic and operational planning skills, financial management abilities, and a capacity to achieve success. CAS operates in a regulated, community-minded environment.
Salary will be determined by your qualifications and the Saskatchewan Teachers Federation provincial grid. Skills Required:: |
Degree in Education and eligible for membership in the Sask. Teachers Federation to be the Principal.
Leadership skills as a Chief Executive Officer, ability to work for a Board of Directors, set strategic direction and operational plans, fundraising, overseeing delivery of quality programs, experience in working with First Nations or Metis people.
