Over the past 10 years our client and its predecessor have established a loyal group of advertisers and sponsors. They wish to develop and grow revenue from some other targeted sectors from where we currently have strong revenue streams in other regions where our client publish the Magazine in question.
The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to learn about business-to-business industry sectors and take an interest in the key companies and people that work in these sectors.
Starting with a small group of existing accounts the candidate will be expected to quickly build up a portfolio of prospective clients through a mixture of research, telephone canvassing and face-to-face meetings. Rather than simply selling advertising and sponsorship the candidate must demonstrate the ability to sell the benefits and advantages of using the magazine as a key platform to reaching and communicating with their target audience.
