Our Client, an innovative and progressive e-solution provider, is currently looking for a Business Development Manager to be based at their European headquarters in Barcelona. If you are looking for a dynamic, fast paced and growing atmosphere, this may be the right step for you!
Responsibilities for this exciting, sales driven opportunity to join an organization as a sales leader include the following:
• Gaining a solid understanding of the company's offerings, competitive advantages, market positioning and competitive landscape.
• Qualifying initial sales opportunities through research, financial analysis and contacting clients by phone (cold calling)
• Building or expanding upon a broad knowledge of the e-commerce landscape, including the issues and concerns of companies engaging in multi-channel commerce as well as the strategies and tactics that are delivering success. Apply that understanding by selling solutions to a targeted prospect.
• Quickly and successfully developing and maintaining business relationships with targeted partners at the executive level. Work hard at fostering relationships with all members of the targeted organization. Maintain relationships not only during the sales cycle, but with prospects not ready to become an active pursuit.
• Closing deals.
• Presenting to potential customers to demonstrate services and gain new market share
• Maintaining relationships with existing customers through regular review visits
• Staffing trade exhibitions
• Gaining a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements
• Travel will be required

| Skills Required: |
Essential Requirements:
• 5+ years of proven success in business development, client management, and/or sales, and 7+ years of overall business experience.
• Experience selling complex solutions to large retailers and/or branded manufacturers
• Track record of delivering profitable business and meeting/exceeding sales goals
• Strong consulting and negotiation skills.
• Must be fluent in English and must have excellent communication skills in one of the following languages: French, German or Italian.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, to take calculated risks and to exceed internal and external expectations.
• Must have a successful track record of developing win/win successful partnerships in a competitive marketplaces with limited resources
• Must possess exceptional ethics, excellent judgment, and a desire to win.
• Bachelor's Degree required, MBA or equivalent experience strongly preferred
• 3 – 4 years experience in working in a consulting firm or in the ecommerce, customer service, logistics sectors a plus
