Responsibilities:
managing standards and control over data centre changes
managing vendor relationships pertaining to data centre operations and management
liaising with 3rd parties to plan and execute installations and upgrades
maintaining control over data centre access
maintaining inventory and procure where necessary items relating to the data centre
assisting to define data centre strategy
designing, implementing and maintaining data centre monitoring systems in conjunction with building services departments
maintaining and upholding data centre standards pertaining both to cabling and behaviour in the data centres
designing and implementing data centre cabling systems for any office, regionally
project management of new data centre installations
assist with server installation and network connectivity, planning data centre resources as appropriate
responsibility for financial planning and running of data centre facilities

| Skills Required: |
Key technical skills include:
sound knowledge and experience in physical (layer 1) infrastructure
cabling skills
data and voice networking skills
basic CISCO product knowledge and administrative skills
general knowledge of carrier services
project management skills
excellent verbal and written communication skills
basic knowledge of drafting software
experience in using cabling diagnostics tools
familiarity with regional nuances
negotiation skills
