Corporate/M&A/Commercial Lawyer
Our client is a leading law & consultancy firm in Baku, is seeking a senior lawyer who provides a broad range of corporate and M&A business services to clients.
You will be active in domestic and cross-border corporate transactions – mergers, acquisitions, dispositions and joint ventures. Ideally, you will have experience in both public and private M&A transactions.
You will have substantial experience in general corporate law, including capital increases and decreases, mergers, shareholder and board meetings, etc.
You should have 3 - 6 years of experience in a leading local or international firm where you have a proven track record of supporting the lead attorney on transactions.
Other experience gained under the umbrella of commercial/corporate services would be useful including banking and financial services; infrastructure and project finance; telecommunications, media and intellectual property; real estate, intellectual property; and tax.
Candidates with tax experience would be appreciated, in particular if you have a broad range of tax expertise in business taxation including mergers, acquisitions and corporate restructuring; joint ventures; capital markets; international tax planning; property taxation; developments and investment; value added tax and customs duties and tax finance. You will have worked for either the big 4 accounting firms or a major international law firm. You should have a track record of providing clients with tax effective solutions, which are commercially workable in a cross-border transactional context.
You will be an Azerbaijanian lawyer and you will be fluent in English both written and spoken. Studies, work experience and/or qualifications in an Anglo-Saxon jurisdiction will be an advantage. |
