Position Opening in Date Palm Biotechnology
The Center of Research Excellence in Palms and Dates at king Faisal University, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a qualified senior scientist to develop a successful research program in plant genetic engineering and conduct research aimed at improving date palm tolerance to biotic and abiotic stress.
This full-time research position is available immediately. Initial appointment is for one year renewable upon satisfactory progress. Benefits include a monthly salary commensurate with experience, comprehensive medical care, housing allowance, one-month-paid vacation, and airline tickets to home country.

Skills Required:: |
Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in plant tissue culture, genetic transformation, and molecular techniques including vector construction and gene mapping. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in plants-related field with demonstrated outstanding publication record, research proposal literacy, and effective interpersonal and communication skills.
