Requirements:
This position will be a Chartered or near Chartered Civil Engineer with 5 to 7 years post graduate experience in civil engineering. The candidate’s background should be Consultant based, with on-site experience in supervision of road works.
Experience in the middle east is not critical as there are staff already in position for any guidance on local standards.
It is expected at the Engineer will have sufficient experience in other Civil Engineer elements such as drainage services, roads and water services and understanding of electrical utilities to enable coordination with other sections of the works and where required support other Engineers depending upon workloads and holidays.
The role/responsibilities for this role are:
• Review of shop drawings prepared by contractor
• Review of works and inspections of installed services and works
• Review of As-built drawings
• Maintenance of quality assurance systems.
• Responding to contractor queries and liaising with designers
• Some redesign of roads, junctions, transitions, and stormwater as necessary.
• Will work on-site and report to the Infrastructure Manager.
