| Job Description: |
Operations Manager
Manufacturer and distributor of specialty industrial equipment located in the downtown industrial district of Fayetteville, is seeking an Operations Manager with Auto CAD experience.
Job Responsibilities
The Operations Manager is responsible for:
-Manufacturing - Scheduling and production of all orders. Supervision of shop personnel. Oversight for order entry, shipping, and invoicing which are done by the Office Manager.
-Design Engineering - Detailed design using AUTO CAD and cost estimating of all manufactured equipment and systems.
-Material Purchasing - Initiates all materials purchase orders and reviews and approves all requisitions from shop personnel. Responsible for maintaining appropriate material inventory and parts data base.
-Customer Service - Follow up with customers and resolve warranty problems, returns, etc.
-Sales Assistance - Handle telephone sales inquiries as required in the absence of senior sales personnel and prepare proposals for standard equipment.
Skills Required
Specific skills that are required for this position are:
-Working knowledge of computer software such as CAD and Microsoft Office, Word, Excel.
-General Engineering - Capable of understanding and solving basic mechanical, electrical and process engineering problems.
-Communications & Supervision - Good oral and written communications skills, work well with others, supervise shop personnel and provide clear direction.
-Multi-Task oriented - capable of handling multiple tasks from the above named areas of responsibility in the same time period without losing track of any of them.
-Willingness to learn how to manufacture our products hands on.
-Understanding of power tools, welding and machining.
Education
-Training in above named computer software applications
-Experience running a small manufacturing operation
-Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Manufacturing or equivalent experience
-Excellent organizational skills
