Position Purpose:
Senior Level Quality Engineer for the Enterprise Server Engineering group. Plan, design, develop and execute tests against the core software products. Develop strong test automation and enhance existing test framework.
Position Responsibilities:·
Plan, develop, and deliver test enhancements, including documentation and testing procedures.
· Works with the development team to create advanced software procedures and tests.
· Run Performance and Scale tests in a multi threaded server environment.
· Validate code changes against existing unit test suite; Build new automated unit tests to validate features and defects.
· Debug, do deep down analysis and diagnose defects and provide detailed inputs to Development.
Assess and provide valuable feedback on products/features.· Configure and setup different Software stacks.
· Test and document large complex core features.
Position Requirements:
· Knowledge/experience working in an Enterprise Server environment.
· Exposure to programming languages such as Java and C++ is preferred.
· Working knowledge of Web Services and .NET is desired.
· Strong enterprise-level databases experience.(Oracle, DB2, SQL Server and MySQL).
· Strong documentation and analytical skills preferred.
· Exposure to Load and Performance testing is desirable.
Scope/Level of Decision Making:
Operates under some supervision and applies a complex level of knowledge in coding, testing and debugging of new software.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
This is a senior level position typically requiring 6-8 years of experience.
Requires a BS Degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering discipline. Fully knowledgeable about UNIX, relational databases and programming language is highly desirable. A hand on experience with Applications Server/J2ee Environments is desired. |
