We currently have an opportunity for a Human Resources Manager to work at our Kings Mountain, North Carolina plant. The Human Resources Manager is a key member of the leadership team at a high-performance, premier, all-salaried plant within Eaton.
Primary responsibilities include planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all activities and functions of the Human Resource Department and monitoring the activities of other departments from a human resource perspective.
Among other activities, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Develop and implement sound HR practices Philosophy) which encourage employee involvement, with the goal of continually improving these practices.
- Facilitate Issue Free Management practices and promote positive employee relations.
- Develop, maintain, and administer an effective compensation, wage, and employee benefit programs.
- Provide leadership in the Diversity, Inclusion, and Work/Life balance program.
- Maintain governmental compliance through Equal Employment Opportunity practices.
- Develop and maintain a respectable image both internal to the company and externally within the community.
- Develop and establish guidelines to meet plant and Corporate objectives.
- Coordinate plant communication efforts, rewards and recognition program.
- Direct selection, development, and retention of Leadership talent based on organizational needs.
- Provide continual ongoing training programs for all employees and assist in employee career development.
- Advise all managers and supervisors on how to handle matters of employee concern and how to implement and administer an effective human resource program in their area.
- Provide effective feedback to employees on matters of mutual concern to employee and company.
- Assist in maintaining an atmosphere of continuous improvement and team efforts for accomplishing department and plant objectives.
The position of Human ResourceManager requires specialized knowledge in maintaining positive employee relations, knowledge of applicable labor and employment law, safety and environmental regulations, workers' compensation laws and control systems, recruitment and employment systems, compensation and benefit systems, needs analysis techniques, understanding job analysis, leadership, development and training systems. Strong communication, and problem solving and skills are required.
A Bachelor's in related field (Masters preferred) and 7 to 10 years of related human resources experience in a human resource and manufacturing operations experience is required.
