| Job Description: |
For our Client: Saudi Arabian Bechtel Corporation, we are searching for Senior Construction Engineer, who would like to take part in the largest ongoing civil engineering project in the world today: Jubail City II in Saudi Arabia.
Responsibilities:
• Chief structural engineer functionally responsible for all structural engineers overall project areas.
• Lead the review of structural design packages prepared by the A/E’s.
• Coordinate all Value Engineering efforts.
• Coordinate and return review comments on submittals by the Industries for proposed new plants or plant expansion designs as it relates to interface with Royal Commission roads and utilities.
• Prepare structural design calculations and drawings for buildings modifications and additions to concrete and steel structures.
• Utilize computer and computer codes to perform analyses and designs of structures.
• Provide support to Construction Department and disposition of field changes by issuing DCNs and SCNs.
• Review of shop drawings and material submittals.
• Review, update & prepare revisions to structural Guideline Specs, Manuals & Design Criteria.
• Perform general engineering tasks such as preparation of studies, reports and bid packages.
• Review and coordinate with others for engineering packages related to schools, clinics, etc.
• Develop and train Saudi structural engineers.
• Provide technical guidance to all structural engineers on the project.
• Ensure consistency and uniformity of structural reviews for A/E packages across the project areas. |
Skills Required:: |
• College Graduate with BS in Structural Engineering. MSc in Structural Engineering would be an advantage.
• Experience in the analysis and design of concrete and steel structures and coordination of multi-discipline designs.
• Experience in field construction and/or operation of industrial plants / commercial buildings.
• Good knowledge of computers for analyses and design of structures.
• Knowledge of building / bridge design and familiar with AASHTO & ACI. |
