| Job Description: |
This leading Organisation is seeking an experienced Project IT Manager for a permanent role based in Qatar.
In this role you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day IT operations and requirements of the Project Offices. The IT Manager will supervise the technicians assigned to Team Services and guide and direct them in fulfilling the needs of the employees of the Project Site.
Your duties will be as follows:
1. Assesses need for, design of, implementation of, and installation of project hardware and software
2. Collaborates with technical IT people, vendors of hardware and software, and other departments on the project as necessary to ensure smooth and optimal functioning of IT systems
3. Assesses educational needs for training in IT software and technical functions and sets up training programs to meet identified needs; coordinates with education and training manager and vendors
4. Evaluates overall effectiveness of IT systems and software
5. Oversees security and confidentiality of data for project network
6. Oversees the Help Desk and user support services for all hardware, software, and networking issues
7. Develops a knowledge strategy for the organization to ensure information is available to staff in a timely and efficient manner
8. Advises the Director, Team Services on technology developments
9. Oversees management of and assists in development of project website
10. Oversees hiring of and manages IT technical staff
11. Assists in development of brochures, publications, etc. from technical standpoint
12. Formulates risk assessments and disaster planning from IT standpoint
13. Ensures adequate backup and recovery for all project data
14. Develops and oversees downtime procedures for project staff
15. Formulates and implements project IT policies
16. Formulates plan for retiring and replacing obsolete equipment in a cost-effective manner
17. Assists Director in developing and overseeing IT budget and oversees asset management for IT
18. Carries out other duties as deemed necessary by CEO and hospital board
To be considered you will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology with 4+ years experience in IT, at least 2 at senior management level
Experience in managing hospital information technology and clinical information systems preferred as is 2 + years experience in people management and performance evaluation of IT staff
