| Job Description: |
This leading Organisation is seeking an experienced Facilities and General Services Manager for a permanent role based in Qatar.
In this role you will be responsible for securing the buildings, products, services, technology, and other workplace essentials as required by Facilities and Support Services and other departments
Your main duties will include:
1. Responsible for assisting, identifying and qualifying of vendors and evaluating non medical proposals.
2. Monitors non medical service agreements and contracts with vendors.
3. Plans and directs the repair and maintenance of facilities including building and property repair, providing housekeeping services and selecting suppliers of major and minor services.
4. Directs vehicle and equipment purchasing and maintenance including the establishment of systems such as Periodic Maintenance Programs and Replacement Programs.
5. Tracks maintenance costs and maintenance condition of facilities and vehicles.
6. Coordinates and monitors the work of outside contractors including Aspire Zone contractors.
7. Identifies and recommends alternatives to maintaining facilities, grounds and equipment to management
8. Initiates actions to ensure facilities are in compliance with various building codes and the local regulations.
9. Develops criteria for contracts for purchased services such as office equipment maintenance agreements and fuel contracts.
10. Identifies and qualifies vendors, evaluating proposals and recommending bid awards.
11. Monitors vendor price and performance against facility related contracts and purchase orders.
12. Coordinates a program for the collection and disposal of hazardous waste materials.
13. Develops and implements policies, procedures, and practices relating to the achievement of goals and objectives
14. Directs research and implementation in all areas of operational effectiveness, including manpower allocations, production and cost efficiencies and organizational issues
15. Responsible for Security Management and application throughout the hospital.
16. Responsible for Occupational Health and Safety within the hospital and immediate surrounds.
To be considered you will have a minimum 5 years experience in a Facilities / General Services Management based role. Qualifications are preferred but not essential.
