| Job Description: |
Under general supervision, formulates and defines system scope and objectives for assigned projects.
Develops or modifies procedures to solve basic-to-moderately complex assignments.
May prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written.
Responsible for designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Also, responsible for completion of a phase of a project.
Responsible for task completion and user satisfaction.
Assists with preparing project schedules.
Position required to support TFC, corporate and enterprise initiatives.
Responsibilities to include
Provide IT Support to TFC Accounting and Finance supporting maintenance activities and updates to the Hyperion Planning systems. (75%)
Provide IT Support to TFC Treasury supporting maintenance activities to the banking applications (25%)
Scope of Responsibility
This position will be responsible for providing technical support for all applications used by the TFC Accounting & Finance (e.g., Hyperion Planning upgrade from 4.0 to System 9, etc.).
The incumbent is responsible for maintaining the production applications running, monitoring jobs to ensure they complete successfully; escalating technical issues where appropriate; interacting with CSC for infrastructure-related issues; diagnosing and resolving defects; and participating in implementation of projects defined by the TFC Account & Finance plans.
The incumbent will be located in Providence, Rhode Island with the IT department.
Position Requirements
Minimum 2 yr Hyperion Planning experience with 4.0 and Essbase 7.3; additional experience with System 9 preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field. Advanced Degree is preferred
Minimum of 3-5 year IT or industry experience specifically in development, analysis, and design
SAS skills desirable but not required
Knowledge of the IT Methodology, or industry equivalent.
Background in working with a SQL database, MaXL scripts, DOS batch scripts, VB scripting, and UNIX shell scripts preferred
Good organizational time management and communication -- both oral and written - skills required
Good Analytical and Problem solving skills
Interest in learning new technologies and flexibility in supporting many applications
Ability to work with minimal direction from supervisor or project manager
Strong ability to multi-task and working under demanding schedules, balancing support & maintenance activities with project work
Ability to work well with IS Department management and staff, i.e., team player
Ability to independently implement task assignments. Functions include defining business requirements and benefits to business, defining technical specifications and provide effort and duration estimates.
Adaptability to constantly changing environment
Initiative, eagerness, and ability to learn
Able to communicate directly with internal customer
Working knowledge of programming languages and tools being used by the application being supporte |
