The company is looking for a process engineer to oversee manufacturing processes from start to finish. Brief Overview
The process engineer will provide technical expertise and leadership to develop, maintain, and trouble shoot the tooling process required for the manufacturing process for polyurethane foam chemical system. In addition, in this position the engineer is responsible for planning, establishing and coordinating all manufacturing engineering functions within the foam system department. The process engineer will also provide leadership and strategic plans to accomplish the department’s objectives.
Qualifications
In this position you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Initiate problem solving and conduct root cause analysis.
- Specify, order and assure proper implementation of new process equipment. Provide technical support to technicians and work teams and serve as technical resource and support to the teams in the department.
- Maintain quality standards within the department.
- Support TPM, 5S, and Cell Design teams.
- Communicate to work teams, supervisors, and other departments to ensure greatest efficiency.
- Resolve any problems with processes and coordinate corrective actions.
What you need to succeed in this position:
- A Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering with experience in tooling required.
- Thorough knowledge of engineering principles and the ability to apply them in order to establish manufacturing processes.
- Excellent planning, project management and leadership skills.
- Leadership skills to implement new process and training skills to teach others proper usage.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
