| Job Description: |
Main Tasks and Specific Duties:
a) Implementation of an effective cost reporting system for each project including identification and highlighting of potential cost over-runs and claims;
b) Evaluation of contractor’s progress payment applications and preparation of interim payment certificates;
c) Measurement and agreement of contractor’s monthly progress quantities;
d) Preparation of Budget and Detailed Estimates for Client generated Change Orders, including cost assistance to engineering team for evaluation of alternative proposals;
e) Evaluation of contractor’s change order requests, including reporting/recommendation for acceptance or rejection in conjunction with the Company’s Management;
f) Provide detailed cost engineering support to the Company’s Management in the defence or evaluation of contractor’s claims;
g) Preparation of cost engineering advice on any related contractual matters to the Company’s Management and the Project Construction Supervision Team;
h) Negotiation of agreed Change Order values with contractor and provision of cost engineering support to the Company’s Management in preparation of the Change Order documentation;
i) Preparation and updating of estimated contractor cash flows through to completion of the project;
j) Develop new or modify existing cost code systems for the project;
k) Prepare cost/value estimates for professional staff resource requirements on in-house BRNA consultancy bids and proposals;
l) Provide budget estimates for resource requirements on BRNA projects from resource profiles and Cost, Time, Resource Registers;
m) Cost and value monitoring/forecasting on internal man-hour expenditure;
n) Prepare and maintain current and historical cost estimating data from contract and relevant information sources;
o) Provide cost engineering support to BRNA Project Managers as and when required.

| Skills Required: |
•The ideal candidate should have extensive experience (10-15 years) in Cost Engineering/Cost Control of Multi Million Dollar Engineering and Infrastructure Projects and in corporate cost management, forecasting and reporting ; preferably gained within the water conveyance/supply industry, although not essential. |
