Minimum Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering discipline or Construction Management
- Min 5 to 10 yrs as Senior Engineer or Construction Manager experience in working with and managing contractors
- Good understanding of commercial issues affecting project performance and experience in assessing value / evaluating variations of construction works undertaken
- Previous Coal Mining Experience
- Sound understanding and experience in the application of safety legislation and corporate safety procedures in South Africa
- Must be able to communicate effectively with Project Team, construction contractors and their employees at all levels.
Purpose Of The Role:
Maintain the safe construction of a Water Treatment Plant and the safety of visitors, staff and public during construction Ensure the completion of works to cost and programme targets whilst ensuring that the assets are constructed to specified technical and quality requirements. Contract administration as delegated by the Project Manager/Leader
Role Impacts:
Ensure that quality, quantity, cost, time are worth project total spend in the range zar 400 m – 450 m.
