Contracts Manager
Role & Responsibilities:
Extensive professional experience of 10 to 15 years in domestic and international contract management and legal & commercial experience in all aspects of State and Private compliance.
Successful completion of several multi year assignments in UAE and GCC countries.
Possess excellent interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills and demonstrated experience at “Contract Manager” level in resolving complex contract issues involving variations, claims, equitable adjustments, dispute resolution in construction contracts.
Review and recommend risk mitigation measures of projects during bidding stage, execution and closure of projects.
Provide legal analyses for Bid – No Bid decisions based upon consideration of Corporate risk policies.
In house counsel responsible for contract claim / counter claim preparation & settlement, corporate compliance, risk analysis.
Job includes ensuring post contract documentation & programme, attending progress meeting, liaison with site personnel in ensuring the installation met programme and in accordance with specification / drawing, project co-ordination with all concerned personnel for timely completion, review of all design & construction drawings – specification, material submittals, verifying project scope, monitoring qualitative & quantitative risk involved and other documents of compliance, advising quantity surveyors in finalizing sub-contractors” & suppliers invoices; application for payment and variation issues related to MEP works; co-ordination with Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and other building services and application of value engineering to all MEP installation matters; co-ordinating with Municipalities, Electricity Boards and other statutory authorities for applications, approvals, certifications, project activity sequencing, activity duration estimation, schedule development and deriving project programme, project monitoring & control updating progress curves through project managers and assigning task cut off dates in coordinating with Director Projects, project cost budgeting & control.
