Applications are currently invited for a Control Engineer to join the Engineering team at our clients offices in Rugby & Kidsgrove. Your role will be to work as part of a multi-skilled team, modelling/ simulation of drive and power system, developing embedded controllers and control software for use in drive systems.
Main duties and responsibilities:
To specify, design and simulate control schemes for variable speed drivers and power system
To undertake Matlab Modelling & Control Software
To specify, design, test and document embedded firmware
To work with many different units to develop common drive control platform
To be responsible for estimating and planning work to ensure budget and timescales are met

Skills Required:: |
You will be educated to a degree level or equivalent in electrical and electronic Engineering or control Engineering. Relevant experience in an engineering design or research environment is ideally required and experience of Matlab simulation or equivalent and ‘C’ programming language.
Personal Attributes
A flexible approach to your duties and working hours is essential and you must also be prepared to travel throughout the UK and overseas and therefore a valid driving licence is essential. You will need strong and convincing communication skills. You must have excellent organisation and planning skills. You should have a proactive attitude, work on your own initiative and work well as part of a team.
