An opportunity exists for an experienced Engineer to join our clients Sheffield Regional Business Centre, part of their Service Division. This position would suit a dynamic and professional individual who has a broad range of skills and wants to use and develop these skills.
The Business Centre is investing considerable effort in increasing the volume of service and project business and you would play an important part in this initiative. Reporting to the Business Centre Manager, your duties would include, but not be limited to, the following main elements:
*Providing Technical Support to existing and new service customers – including clearing outstanding work recommendations from Service reports.
*Attending site to advice customers of modifications and new equipment available to improve their facility; Initiating modifications and executing them after design approval
The role of Technical Support engineer also requires active involvement in seeking out new business and this will generally be in the form of:
*Sales/Tendering - processing sales leads, producing tenders and securing orders. You will liaise with customers to engineer solutions using existing designs where possible and obtain quotations for bought out equipment and services.
*Project Engineer/ Project Management - responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the contract.

Skills Required:: |
Personal qualities and experience will be important in appointing to this post. You should have substantial experience in this or a similar role and be qualified to degree level I a relevant subjects, or be able to demonstrate a broad technical understanding.
You must be hardworking and able to solve problems using determination, initiative and a flexible approach. You should be a good communicator and have an enthusiastic approach to learning and to developing yourself as an individual
