QC Engineers ( Civil, Mechanical and Electrical )
The Discipline QC Engineers (Civil, Mechanical and Electrical) are directly responsible to the QC Manager for site QC activities including QA coordination, inspections, documentation of inspections, and obtaining written dispositions on deviations. Specific areas of responsibility include audit of field welding, radiography, civil and structural inspections, piping inspections, test records, audits of all phases of QA and QC, and documentation and reports. They are responsible for coordinating with the Lead Construction Engineers for their daily activities and for coordinating for their work with the Construction Discipline Engineers and contractor personnel. They also perform the following functions.
1. Recommends approval of the contractor’s QA programs.
2. Verify the accuracy of all documentation pertaining to QC, testing, etc.
3. Review the receiving and handling documentation for materials and equipment supplied to the project for conformance to project standards, drawings, and specifications.
4. Monitor all work to ensure its conformance to applicable codes and KOC requirements and standards.
5. Develop programs that satisfy project QA requirements.
6. Assume responsibilities of QC Manager during his absence, as directed.
