| Job Description: |
We are looking for an experienced financial modeller to work on and develop large complex financial models, which will inform decision makers in the preparation of the company's strategic business plan. This is a new role that will work along side management both financial and non-financial. You will;
• Develop internal financial models
• Work closely with Business Leader
• Provide clear and simple-to-understand commentary and interpretation of modelling results
• Assist senior management with the preparation of all financial models and projections
• Drive process of data recording and recovery from internal databases
You will have some financial modelling experience and a sound grasp of the accounting needed to build a financial statement forecasting model. You will have;
• Outstanding academics
• A numerate degree
• Excellent communication skills
• Advanced proficiency with Excel
• Ability to make new and challenge existing business assumptions and to reflect these in financial models
• Ability to keep track and adjust financial models according to business development
• Ability to view synergies in multiple products and for these to be accurately reflected in financial models
• Ability to liaise with other parts of the organisation on performance related reports
• Ability to prepare financial results
• Good understanding of basic corporate finance
• Strong statistical and analytical background
• Ability to build clear market analyses, business plans and other models; structure models in a clear and communicable way; conceive and evaluate the merits of alternative modelling approaches (top-down vs. bottom-up, which dimensions to use, model flow, ...), efficient (conversant with Excel formulae, fairly quick at model building).
• A track record of accurate and timely financial reporting. Familiar with key financial metrics used to evaluate projects and investment decisions (NPV etc.)
• Ability to build basic P&L statements.
Salary is £40 - £45k
