Product Manager (Multimedia & Mobile Handset)
Requirement/Experience:
Person should have minimum of 7-11 years of industry experience and preferably some part of experience on multimedia & mobile handset and related technologies. Minimum qualification needed is engineering graduate or post graduate, preferably with some business administration degree/diploma.
Mandatory Skills:
Voice & Video Codecs, Imaging, Multimedia Applications, Mobile Platforms like Symbian, Windows Mobile, Embedded Linux, Nucleus, Mobile chipsets like TI, Intel, Infineon, Marvel, Broadcom etc
1. Understanding of multimedia & mobile handset domain and related technologies
2. Good customer interaction skills
3. Understanding of effort estimation process – must have done it few times himself/herself in past
4. Good presentation skills
5. Technical orientation
Preferred Skills:
Voice & Video Codecs, Imaging, Multimedia Applications, Mobile Platforms like Symbian, Windows Mobile, Embedded Linux, Nucleus, Mobile chipsets like TI, Intel, Infineon, Marvel, Broadcom etc
1) Understanding of Mobile technologies (GPRS, GSM, CDMA etc.)
2. Understanding of internet technologies – AJAX, CSS, Widgets etc.
3. Knowledge of product development process
4. Good knowledge on quality processes
Job responsibilities:
1. Responsible for product roadmap definition and enhancements for multimedia & mobile handset products
2. Definition of new products in multimedia & mobile handset and related domains and creation of business case around them
3. Tracking profitability of product line
4. Interfacing with engineering function for complete product execution cycle
5. Collecting market and customer feedback for products
6. Leading pre-sales for products
