The Hotels & Resort/Hospitality subsidiary of a real estate and construction giant in Dubai is looking for a well versed and enthusiastic Area Training Manager (Learning & Development).
The company is in the planning and realizing phase of opening a series of luxury hotels of five- to seven-star rating.
The Area Training Manager is overseeing all Learning & Development issues of three stylish and unique properties, starting from the pre opening phase.
Responsible for the supervision of the Training Department; Conducts, oversees and participates in the training activities of the entire Chain; Creates or Design customized training programs according to training needs and follows through all actions required by Training Department staff; Verifies and signs all external training requests; Be well versed with Chain’s pre-opening processes and focus on planning for a smooth opening by ensuring all staff has gone through all necessary trainings; Work closely with other managers to identify training needs and design an overall training plan to meet the identified needs.
To ensure that training needs analysis is conducted in a timely manner; Conducts orientation for new staff, Introduces Hotel group, Vision, Mission, Philosophy, Monitors training activities, training budgets and generates reports accordingly; Design or Create training materials for in-house training as per training needs and work with training providers to develop suitable course content; Evaluates success of trainings activities, staff developments and make recommendations accordingly to the management; Maintains updated files of external and internal trainings, inventory of trainers.
Assists the Director of Human Resources in administering HR policies and procedures, as well as in coaching, implementation, review, recording and communications related to all HR procedures, programs and activities; Oversees library operations, ensuring there is periodic publication of library materials available for staff use; Managing regular staff appraisals and reviews and ensuring staff have opportunities for ongoing development.
The right candidate has excellent experience in luxury international Chain Hotels, prior experience of having worked in a pre-opening of a Five-star deluxe hotel. Thorough understanding of adult learning, learning curve, training deliveries and training evaluations; Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting training activities. Brilliant communication, organizational and administrative skills.
He/She is a dynamic hands-on trainer and is an enthusiastic, energetic, flexible team player who will enjoy the excitement and challenges of working for a very successful and rapidly growing organization.
Opening Experience is a must; Work Experience in Middle East, Asia and/or Europe is a plus.
